Judy's Kindness Kitchen

A Soup Kitchen Serving Residents of
Providence

Who are we? Volunteer Donate Kids Recipes Thank You D'var Torah Kashrut Directions

We’re so glad you're interested in the soup kitchen! Let us tell you a little more about it.

We opened on Thanksgiving Sunday 2004. As of Thanksgiving 2005 we began serving the Sunday meal at Crossroads Rhode Island in downtown Providence in order to reach a larger number of those in need.

Sunday volunteers:  Cooks and sandwich makers come 8:30 -10:00 am to Congregation Beth Sholom, 275 Camp Street, on the East Side of Providence. Servers come at 10:30am to Crossroads RI, 160 Broad Street, Providence (at the old Downtown YMCA building).

Child volunteers ages 8 and up can help make sandwiches on Sundays from 8:30-10:00 at Congregation Beth Sholom. They must be accompanied by a parent.
